The Assistant Director for IT Development and Training (ADIT) is the focal point for developing and implementing the long-term plan for Information Technology within the school, through strategic planning, product selection and support, and extensive training for all staff.
The ADIT will report to the Director and is part of the school leadership team. The ADIT will work closely with the IT Manage to ensure that all systems are working properly and are in alignment with the school's long-term IT development plan. The ADIT will be required to have a comprehensive working knowledge of Google Apps to integrate it with school systems and train all staff in its use: .

Responsibilities include:
1. Development Planning
Develop a long-term IT strategy for the school, considering various platforms already in use and best practices for long term development of school IT needs
Liaise with Director on strategies and decisions to implement the long-term IT strategy
Work together with IT Manager and IT staff to implement strategic decisions
Liaise with all staff to integrate systems where possible and align curriculum goals with IT planning
Perform regular analysis of risk factors relating to school IT systems
Analyze IT risks and prepare and implement mitigation strategies
Integrate Google Apps school-wide, in line with IT development plan

2. Training
Provide training to teaching staff on using Google Apps for improved collaboration between staff, as well as for' improved communication within the classroom for students
Provide training to students on using Google Apps for enhanced collaboration with peers and for better performance in the classroom
Provide training to administrative and support staff on using Google Apps to streamline operations and provide consistency in our approach across various platforms
Provide training to staff on other relevant systems – Admin Plus, Oliver, Plus Portals; etc
Provide training to support staff on basic computer skills
.Identify training opportunities for all staff in the area of IT development

3. Support
Liaise with teachers and school principals to identify ways to improve and align the overall IT systems within the school
Together with other IT staff:
Provide end user support for all devices as needed
Assist in supervision of computer labs as needed
Provide support of service learning activities in computer labs
Work closely with classroom teachers:
To explore opportunities for integrating technology in the classrooms, using Google Apps such as Classroom
To support weekly lessons, aligning curriculum goals with school IT development plan
To suggest ideas and innovations with IT for students
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director

Requirements:
2. Committed, evangelical Christian with a strong record of church membership.
3. At least 5 years' experience in IT management and training. -
4. Proven organizational and development skills, including ability to work together with IT professionals in an advisory capacity.
5. Proficiency, preferably certification, in Google Apps for Education.
